Summertime

There is not better way to spend beautiful summer afternoon! Sitting here reading over questionnaires from prospective state legislators is giving me a chance to recoup from the NEA/RA. I'm almost ready to repack and fly to Denver to attend the NEA Summer Leadership Conference. My recoup time for this conference will be to spend time with my brother and his family in California.

Motorcycling Days

As I was sitting on the back of the motorcycle watching the world go by, I suddenly remembered that I had started a blog at some point in my past. I decided that I should begin posting some reflections. For the past 5 days Lewis and I have been tooling around New Hampshire on the Harley. We made it in time for the last two days of Bike Week in Laconia. We spent Saturday walking around Weirs Beach. Saw my share of women wearing outfits no one should even contemplate wearing. Sunday we headed to Vermont to visit the Vermont Country Store. Monday we went back to Laconia Harley Davidson to see if there were any sales - no such luck. So, we decided to head back to the resort via another route, and ended up visiting "Castle in the Sky". Great historical home of a Maine man named Thomas Plant (originally from Quebec).  Check out the website http://www.castleintheclouds.org
Tuesday we went to yet another Harley store in Conway. Lewis bought another t-shirt to add to his already large collection. Made our way back to Lincoln via Route 302 past The White Mountain Resort [where we spent our honeymoon 12 years ago :)].
Today is rainy so we will stay put at the resort. We will have to go get something to eat at some point, so we may get a little wet getting there. Oh well, such as the life of a Motorcycle couple!
